“In the first 3 months of this year, my brother and I have observed the care and concern of the Associates of Hays Medical Center from the perspective of a patient, rather, than in my case as Director of the Hadley Foundation Art Collection. The concern and care by the Associates was truly provided by dedicated professional people. Each one displayed such concern and care in treating us over an extended time. Not only am I impressed with the quality of care, but the positive attitude was extremely helpful in the process of recovery. I wish to acknowledge the two physicians especially in the quick response in discovering and following through recovery: Dr. Kevin McDonald and Dr. Steve Waring. How fortunate we are in having such dedicated people.”

“All the nurses and students both in the hospital and rehab center were very considerate and helpful. Brooke and Kent on the evening shift were exceptional and going out of their way to help. I appreciated that very much.” (Inpatient Rehab)
“Clayton was flown in with a breathing tube to Medical ICU on 3-29. His night nurse, Curt, was the best for Clayton and for me as well. He answered all my questions and explained all that was going on. I appreciated absolutely everything Curt did for us. He is very good at his job. He had me call during the night just to check in – explaining what was going on and how the night had gone. Clayton was very happy with the care Curt gave him.” (MS-ICU)
“I was in Rm 348. I had Lance as a nurse and I like him. He has a good sense of humor and always made me smile when he walked in the room. I can tell he truly cares about the patients and he enjoys his job. Any patient would be lucky to have him as a nurse for he shows he cares about each patient. It is always scary being in the hospital, but he made it easier with his friendliness and sense of humor.” (Medical Unit)
